is there a way to block a person from seeing if you are online? Everytime I go on facebook there is somebody who IMs me literally the second I sign on and does not stop til I sign off. This has got to stop Ignoring doesn't work and I can't block this person.

Re: Facebook experts
There's a spot in the lower right of the screen and if you click on it you can select "Go Offline. It's the Chat button. It looks like a little peg person.
It's to the right of the notifications spot.

Re: Facebook experts
I only wanted to be "offline" to that 1 person. B/c I don't mind chatting to normal people...LOL I did a search in the facebook help and what I want to do isn't available. So I guess I will have to be "offline" to everybody or deal with the annoying person.

I think if you unfriend them, it doesnt delete you from their friend list.. therefore they will still see you on. You would have to block them.

I feel the same way - I don't chat with too many people....

Re: Facebook experts
I thought you could block just one person. In the privacy section...it states Block people...but, next to that it says person, and you have to type in the persons name.
I never did it, so not sure if it works.
