Hi, I read your blog and I know how you feel. Last Mother's Day was my first one as a mom and before that I dreaded every mother's day for the last 11 years. Last year, for the very first time, I woke up on Mother's Day with a smile on my face and not that feeling of emptiness.

Thank you for sharing that!
I lost my mommy in 2003. At first I was so angry that she was robbed from me - and I still get sad thinking that my kids don't have their Uma.. but as time goes on I just am grateful for the time I did have with her and all the memories I am left with, the lessons she gave me and the love that still remains.

Thank you ...October of 2009 will mark my moms 10 year anniversary in Heaven..Miss her lots especially since I know how much she would have adored my DS and DD

Thank you for posting this. I usually do not go past page two to read posts, but today I did.
Mom passed away last year just shortly before Mother's Day. This year, I celebrated as a mother the first time and it made her absence a bit easier. However, I did cry a little bit wishing that she could have been alive to see it.
