What are your thoughts on this scanerio....??
a woman is jogging while pushing a double stroller (a double wide stroller, not 1 in front of the other) down a one lane in each direction BUSY road (with a double yellow line).
every car that passes her, has to go up on the double yellow line in order to avoid hitting the stroller.
your thoughts??

great that you are jogging but im sure you could find a safer place
i actually dont really care about the drivers having to cross a double yellow line, just the fact that she is in the street jogging with a stroller is unbelievable to me

Great that she is exercising but there are smarter places or ways to exercise. She is putting other drivers at risk as well as herself and her children. Stupid

she should find somewhere else to be jogging! sorry but what if there is a driver not paying attention? doesn't matter whose fault it would be, she and her kids could still get badly hurt.

ok - so I see I was not being irrational in bringing this up as completely irresponsible.
yet, when I repeated this story to someone I know, the response I got from her was "well as a mother, I can tell you that there isn't always time to pack up the kids and go to the park. people have to learn to share the road"

Wow - that line of thinking won't be very comforting when someone accidentaly hurts her and her kids. Cars are for vehicles & sidewalks are for people, so believing that the cars should automatically expect & even accept her presence is pretty silly...it just takes 1 car to make it a sad story...

Just to repeat what's been said numerous times so far.... it's extremely dangerous, inconsiderate, irresponsible, reckless, irresponsible, etc, etc....
When it comes to car accidents, "Might makes right". Car vs stroller does not end well..... If cars have to avoid her, that means that a distracted driver (luckily, we all know that NOBODY on the road is ever distracted....  ) will not be avoiding them.....
IMO, she's playing Russian Roulette with her DC....

The jogger is an idiot.. Why doesnt she just jog in the park. All she needs is someone who has no concept of their bumpers to drive by her, shes putting herself and children at risk.

This person has TWO kids?? Oy...who would purposely put them out in the street? Don't we teach kids NOT to go out into the middle of the street? I can't even stand when people don't hold their young children's hands in a parking lot! This is irresponsible..there has to be somewhere safe to take the kids..maybe a track?!

But they can go jog on the side streets then in the neighborhood.. NOT A MAIN ROAD.

This woman is out of her mind. Shes putting herself in danger as well as the child. Even the motorists are in danger of swirving into another car to avoid her.

Dina did the person who defended the jogger also buy her home on a very safe street without a double yellow line in front so her kids won't run out into the street and get hit by a car?

Sharing the road is one thing. Being the potential cause of an accident is another. She isn't sharing the road if the cars need to cross the dividing line to pass her.
