i got excessed...
five years on... and i got excessed. my building lost 7 teaching positions!
so, off to open market i go. hopefully i can secure a spot in a decent area.

I am excessed now too, with 4 years in the system, since I was last person hired in my dept. I think my school is excessing about 10 people.

 I have been there. But keep in mind..if you do not find something you like, you can remain at your school as an excessed teacher. Not ideal I know but better then having to go to a school that is really undesirable to you.

yup, tenured after year 3. it really stinks! two of the other women excessed had 6 years on. i cant believe it.
good luck to everyone else excessed. hope we all find good schools!

Don't get to depressed... I was excessed this year and just floated around my building... it wasn't fun but it could have been worse. This coming year I have my classroom back. So try not to stress too much.
