Breastmilk when traveling without kid
Hi, I have a dilemma and I'm not sure what to do. I'm going on vacation with DH without DD. I am breastfeeding so I have to bring my pump with me when I go. Has anyone tried to bring breastmilk back in a suitcase? I hate to throw it away while I'm gone but I'm not sure if all suitcases are scanned at the airport or how that would affect my milk. Worst case scenario I will pump and dump but I just hate to waste it! TIA.

I brought fresh expressed BM when we took DS to disney for his first birthday. Brought it in a little cooler - carried it on. I told them what I had when I went through security. I had no problems going there. On the way back, they did test it.

Re: Breastmilk when traveling without kid
I've flown with my DS 3 times in the past month and I'm about to do it twice more this week, and I've had no problems bringing my milk through security. They only tested it in Tampa, every other time they just let it through.

Thanks, do they let it through without scanning it or do they put it through the xray machine? I get nervous about what the xrays may do to the milk.
