Question for fellow 7 month mommies
hi girls - are you still using the infant carriers? Nicholas still fits comfy in it but I know it is time soon to switch to the regular car seat. I leave the seat in my car and just carry him to the car now because how heavy it's gotten Just wondering if any of you switched over or are still using it. thanks

Re: Question for fellow 7 month mommies
We switched Ryan when he was about 8 months. He was too heavy so I wasn't carrying him around in it anymore. But I was so afraid of slipping with him on ice that I wanted the infant carrier for a sense of security.
But, I will say, the convertible car seat is so much easier to get him in and out of!

Re: Question for fellow 7 month mommies
My DD is almost 7 months and 14 pounds. With my other DD, I switched at 9 months, but I think I'll ride this out for a while since she seems relatively happy in it. We're staying put for at least a few more months hopefully!

Re: Question for fellow 7 month mommies
We made the switch right after she was 7 months. She got too heavy for the carrier. When we made the switch - she loved it! So much more room.

Re: Question for fellow 7 month mommies
Mine are 7 mos on the 24th and we switched them this week. Declan weighed 20.6 and Ronan weighed 17.8 and they are 26.5 inches. They were not comfortable in their seats anymore. It is a HUGE adjustment for us and I need to get a new double stroller since I am using my jogger now and it is a monstrosity, but they seem to like the seats. I say if he is comfy in it and you have a snap n go and he is not at the weight/height limit keep him in it as long as possible!

Re: Question for fellow 7 month mommies
we switched DS out when he was 28.5" (the carrier goes up to 30") He was just under 18 lbs at the time, but he was heavy.....

Re: Question for fellow 7 month mommies
My daughter is 9 months old and still in her baby carseat!!! Everyone was telling me she had to be like 1 years old to switch her. She weighs 19 lbs and is 28 inches long. Can I switch her now?

Re: Question for fellow 7 month mommies
I switched DD at 7 1/2 months. She was getting long and between her weight and the seat weight it was getting too heavy to lug around. She did fine in the new carseat.......LOVES it actually. It's roomier and more comfy for her.

You can switch them out of the infant carrier at any point in time. In fact, you don't even need to start a baby in an infant carrier......most convertible carseats can be used from birth to 40lbs. That being said, if your DD is comfortable and content in her carrier then keep using it.

Re: Question for fellow 7 month mommies
I still use the infant carrier in the car, but I jsut always take DD out and carry her. It is still convenient if she falls asleep in it, to take the seat out so she isnt disturbed.

I would check the height limit for your carrier...just type in height limit (your carseat name) intop Google I think that is pretty tall-her weight is most likely fine

Ok sounds good! I gotta check the height on it. She is still comfy in it and falls asleep in her seat. I always take her out of it though. To heavy to carry
