I hate...

when a district puts an ad out for a job and fails to mention it is a leave replacement. I applied for a job in my home district and they called me today. I was so excited until I heard the words "leave replacement". I asked how long it was for......September to November

Had I know it was a leave replacement I never would have applied for the job in the first place. I can't give up my city position of 7 years for a 2 month job.

Oh well.....

I'm sorry That does stink.

Perhaps they think if they advertise it honestly, people won't be as enthusiastic about applying Or maybe the person who posts those positions online is just lazy and not meticulous enough to double check!

I got one for you. I got a call for an interview after answering a posting on wonderful OLAS I go in, and they offer me the job, but explain " the job requirements have changed due to budget cuts." So I ask " how exactly?" ........wait for it........ "oh, well we would like to offer you a position as a perm. sub in the district!" Unbelievable! I did not take the job and really resented how they got me in there under false pretenses. I believe that their posting is still up on OLAS. I guess this is how they get subs!
