Necessary? Not.

But I'd say so far Annie has spent a lot of the day time in the PNP (I got the small Travel Lite) in the living room rather than the crib (where she is for the night) so I'm glad we got it.

we use it all the time - if i have to step out of the room to pee or ge tthe mail, DS goes in there so he doesn't crawl all over the place.

for me, it's a necessity - we are at our ILs now, we don't have it and man do i miss it Chat Icon

We own a very small home (only one floor) and have used the pack n play SO much in our living room. We have pets and its good to put baby down while awake if you need to run and get something done in a different room.

I was just going to say the same thing. While we have a 2 story house, my SD and DD have their bedrooms upstairs, so we didn't really "need" a PNP. But, with 3 dogs, I felt it was safer to get one.

I'm sure it's been said but we're getting it more for family and traveling. We go OOT every few months for a night or 2 and with my parents, and siblings it'll be great to have one to let them use when they have Peanut.

I never used mine at home. I only use it for the beach or if we are going somewhere overnight

we have a ranch and we got a PNP...what a waste! DD used it in our room for 6 weeks but I would have rather just put her in her crib from the start! I was getting up and out of bed for her anyway! We could have just as easily used the moses basket we were given. We'll take it with us on driving vacations but that is it. DD won't even stay in it to play b/c all she want to do is go, go, go!

IN a one story house its not very necessary.. but its nice to have for short vacations or going over people houses, stuff like that.

We have a one story and I kept the pnp in the living room and but DD in it while she napped.. partly because I wanted her to get used to the noise around her.

I have a ranch and no PNP, and feel like I don't need one. We have a bassinet in our bedroom, but he mostly prefers sleeping in the soothing motions glider, which we can move from room to room.
