Does anyone ever feel guilty?
For those of you who never want children, do you ever feel guilty for not wanting them at all? Sometimes I feel a little guilty knowing that I will most likely never want children, yet there are so many people out there that do want children, yet cant.

for the same reason reason as you...and that my mom will never get to experience her only daughter go thru a pregnancy...and my brother who has 3 kids will never get to be an uncle

Yup. We're both only children so if we never have kids our parents don't get to be grandparents.....and they both really want to be.

I don't because I look at it this way.
I wasn't put on this earth to bear children.
I was put on this earth to live my life, my way, as best I can.
If that included children- so be it.
If it doesn't- so be it as well.
And I wasn't born so that my parents could have grandchildren either...
So no guilt at all...

I used to feel guilty when I was younger. But I think that had to do more with the way I was raised and taught that child bearing was something that was expected from me.
I think I would feel more guilty having a child, and knowing fully well I couldnt/wouldnt give it my 100%. I know far too many children in this position and I refuse to harm a human being like that.

ITA, I feel guilty here & there but its not a reason to have kids.

No, I dont feel guilty for not having children. And I think it's unfair to put that kind of repsonsibility on yourself.
