I feel your pain! I am 2 weeks PP and almost at my pre-baby weight, but I have this pooch that doesn't seem to be getting any smaller....

Re: post baby belly
post baby belly, mine was down to the floor. it's horrible!! i went from having maybe like 4 stretch marks on my belly to a road map full of them! 7 weeks later it's still a little droopy but not as bad. i'm starting to work out again so hopefully my stomach will be back to where it's supposed to and not down to my knees

Re: post baby belly
I hate mine. Its so saggy and the skin by my belly button is so dark. I have been using the belly band which helps. I got some workout dvds and I am hoping to start using them today. I am 10 wk pp

Re: post baby belly
my stretch marks never went down my stomach looks terrible. I got a prescription ointment that lightened them a little, but it still looks so bad. they are all over the front of my stomach and so long

Re: post baby belly
I was complaining about this for months! I think I was back down to my pre pregnancy weight at 3 months but my clothes didn't fit and I had this flab around my belly.
I am now 4.5 months pp and my stomach is pretty much back to normal (minus some stretch marks).
It gets better!

Re: post baby belly
Does anyone else still have the dark line doing verticallly down your belly? When does that go away? Mine is still as dark as it was when I was pregnant...

My line has faded a lot but isn't completely gone yet.
I asked my obgyn when the line goes away and he informed me that all women vary when the line goes away. I was actually told that some women never lose the line. I hope I am not one of those women.

Re: post baby belly
DS is just about to turn 5 months and I still have a fat belly. My belly went down alot in the first week after I had him, but now I just look fat. I still have a lot of baby weight to loose. It is all my fault since I haven't been eating well and working out. I always had a pretty flat belly, so I'm pretty depressed. I'm at the heaviest I have ever been. I also still have the ugly dark line running down my belly, but I hardly got any strecth marks, which I'm so happy about.

Re: post baby belly
i think belly recovery to some extent depends on how much weight you gained in pregnancy.
first time around i gained 22-25lbs, and it took several months before my belly was even close to normal. couldn't wear some of my pre-pregnancy clothes even a year later...
this time around i gained much less weight - 14 lbs - and was wearing my pre-pregnancy clothes in about a week. my stomach is flat, although definitely NOT in any kind of shape. getting your actualy muscles toned again takes a couple months, at least...
it will get better

Re: post baby belly
Wear a girdle! I wore one after both babies and it went down. It's better to hold it in then to let it hang out.
I'm 9 month pp and I NOW feel back to normal. The belly went away months ago but I finally feel myself again.
FYI> I still have that line...ugh..

Re: post baby belly
Took about 3 months this time around with my second. Now its pretty much gone after LOTS of working out. If you are breast feeding be prepared for it to stick around a bit. I don't expect mine to fully go away until I wean DS. congrats!
ETA: I am 5 1/2 months pp

mine is fading a lot. I lost all the weight and back at the gym toning so I can get my belly flat again. I'm over 9 weeks PP. Getting there, but still need to tone
