Re: question for you all

No. I met BM over a year after I started dating DH and I met SD like within a month of dating DH (it was at a party and she was only 4 so she had know idea who I was other than just another party guest).

Re: question for you all

no - she never did. she met me early on and never would acknowledge me - not even a hello or a smile so I was doomed with her from minute one. After about 18 mos. she did claim to my DH that *I* have ever so much as to approach her to introduce myself to HER and ask HER if there is anything *I* need to know about SD Chat Icon

DH knew that she would always blow me off...he always witnessed it.

Re: question for you all

I don't remember me ever being an issue. BM doesn't "allow" DH visitation; it's in their divorce agreement that he gets her every weekend. I spent time with DD before I met BM; then I went with him once for a drop-off/pick-up (I don't remember which exactly) and that's where we met. BM and DH have respect for each other and trust who the other is exposing DD to.

Re: question for you all

BM insisted that after they seperated that whoever EITHER of them dated, would have to meet the other PRIOR to meeting SD.

Well.. BM was dating a guy we found out - when DH called at 8am to talk to SD and blatantly kept talking about how BM's boyfriend slept over and now lives there... Chat Icon DH hadn't even known that she was seeing anyone....

So that rule went right out the window - but BM did insist on meeting me.. there is alot of drama between the two of us, but I 'try' to be the bigger person...

Re: question for you all

for me i already new my step dtrs mom (we went to school together) however i have a son from before i married dh and my sons dad was dating this girl for awhile however i have heard many stories about her and they weren't good. Just one example she had 2 older children that she didn't have custody of which made me Chat Icon so when i new she would be a permant fixture in my sons dads life i asked if we all could meet some where (i think it was at sports plus) therefore i could kinda get a feel for myself. It was a little strange but it did make me feel better knowing who would be around my ds. However to shorten up a long story throughout the yrs of her being around my son she has only proved the stuff i have heard to be correct and my son does not want to ever be alone with her.

This is a good point too... BM doesn't "allow" visitation. It is clearly written in their divorce agreement and has no mention of BM having any right to insist meeting the spouse or future spouse of DH.
