Re: lactation consultant
It has been the best money I ever spent. When dh was 54 days old she came to my house examined Ds found him to be tongue tied. I was engorged explained how to pump, store and incorporate it into breastfeeding. We used different shield for my nipples. For the next 2 weeks she help us get through the roughest time. ( she also provided much needed emotional support)
She doesn't take insurance I payed out of pocket and tried to submitt to insurance (turned out my insurance sinks). Contact your insurance company and if they don't cover it it is definitely worth the money Here's my LC, Donna B. Kimick, IBCLC, RLC Lakeshore Lactation and Breastfeeding Ctr Massapequa Park, NY (516) 799-7911 If you use her tell her gloria recommended you Good luck

Re: lactation consultant
I don't remember who I used but it was well worth the money. Cost me $70 since it wasn't covered by ins but costs way less then having to switch to formula.
