Temps really low

Hi Girls-

on month 4 - I have been charting and I have always had a lower temperature (even when I was a kid - a fever for me is like 99!)

when I use my BBT, I usually am a low of 96.8 or so and it goes to 97.4 at its high point.

Today I tested and I was at 95.97 - I slept fine, we have central air so the temp in the house has been the same for the past few nights. Im on CD 6. Should I be worried?

I wouldn't be too concerned since 95.97 is really like 96 degrees. However, I have read that you should not use the BBT thermometers that measure to the 100th degree, but rather just to the 10th of a degree (meaning the ones that just give you the 96.3 type readings, and not the ones that give you the 96.32 type readings).

I think if you used one of the more recommended types of thermometers, you would have just seen 96.0 degrees as your reading and may not have been so worried. As it is, I think it's so close to 96 degrees I would not worry at this point. But call your doctor if you are really concerned!

I have low temps like that as well! At first it worried me, but my doc assured me that everyone's body is different and even temps in the 96 range are normal.

Also, when you sleep do you breathe through your mouth? That can lower BBT even further.

I wouldnt worry... your temps are in the same exact range as mine and i've gotten a random low one like that every once in a while (do O early? maybe its the dip before you O?). Sometimes it could be a sign of a thyroid problem but I know for me it's just normal.

thanks girls - I'll see what my temp is tomorrow.

I have had my thyroid tested in the past, and Ive had borderline results, I called my doc and waiting for them to call back.

I usually 0 on CD 14, so this would be way early for me.
