Daughter's 5th birthday
Im having trouble deciding what to do for my daughter's 5th birthday. We usually have a party every other year starting with her 1st birthday. Up until this year it was simple we just invited her cousins which is about 20 kids around the same age as her. But this year she is in preschool. I am unsure if I should just throw a party for her friends or just do the family again. If I do both it will be 33 kids invited. If I separate it it will be approx 19 kids invited either way, which is fine. Then I was thinking of doing just the girls from family and friends. This would also equal 20 kids. My husband wants to take her out for the day with 2 companions of her choice to Atlantis marine world and then to friendly's. I can afford a party of about 20 kids but no more. I am so unsure and it's not a dilemma, just unsure on what to do and would love some input.

Re: Daughter's 5th birthday
Let her choose about 10 of her closest cousins and friends and have a pajama party! I did this for my daughters and they had a great time!

Re: Daughter's 5th birthday
Not sure when it is but we were just invited to a "camp out". It's going to be tents, campfire, smores & a "drive-in" movie with sleeping bags in the backyard.
I thought that was a cute idea.
At pre-school, I'd say to keep it as simple as you can. Once kindergarten hits, you'll be inviting the whole class anyway.
If you want to cut down & your daughter is a girly girl, my daughter was invited to a "spa/pj party" at someone's house. They dressed in their pjs & the older cousins did the little girl's hair & nails. They were in heaven. It may be a good way to incorporate the older cousins & it also cuts the numbers because you're inviting girls only.

Re: Daughter's 5th birthday
Thanks for your idea. The camp out is great but unfortunately her birthday is in December and will be too cold. But a sleepover will be close to that idea. Thanks for your input.
