Re: My Story (Warning: Extremely Long)

I am so sorry you had to go through all that. I had a similar experience with the meds not working but luckily you got the D&C early...for me it was a 3 week waiting process before I had to finally have the D&C.

It is definitely a horrible experience and I am so sorryChat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

The girls here are so amazing. It's definitely a safe spot to vent and talk. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Im so sorry this happened to you Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Basically the same exact thing happened to me. My doctor is also very good so I too found the procedure to be a lot less scary then I anticipated.

Right now it seems like you will never feel better but hang in there, the pain does ease up. Its been 8 weeks since mine and I can now talk about it openly without crying but for the first few weeks I was a wreck.

This truly is a great board for support and also to vent. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: My Story (Warning: Extremely Long)

I don't know why I'm crying but maybe because I know exactly how you feel. I remember the D&C like it was yesterday. I remember crying and shaking on the table, tied down, under the bright lights. One of the nurses brought me a heated blanket but I wasn't cold I told her, I was scared and nervous about what was to come. I remember waking up to the same nurse who brought be down to recovery. I remember another nurse sharing the same name as me and talking about how the feellings that I had were so "normal." But, they're not normal or they shouldn't be normal. There are too many women that know how we feel and that's very sad to me. Chat Icon The road ahead does get alittle bit easier but for me it was very slow. If you're Catholic, I also visited the The Church of the Holy Innocents in NYC and had my baby registered into the book of life for unborn babies. The friar sends you a certificate and a little note. It' nice to have support from other outlets as well.

Re: My Story (Warning: Extremely Long)

Thank you ladies for all the support and encouragement. I know I have a long road ahead, but it truly helps when you have people around you that understand and can relate to what you are going through. Unfortunately, it's not something anyone wants to relate to. I am sorry we are all here on this board.

I am so sorry for your loss. I can't imagine what it must be like to go through this twice. Has your Dr offered to do a recurrent pregnancy loss blood test for you? If not, you may want to consider asking about it... unexplained multiple miscarriages are frustrating and miserable, so if you can zero in on a possible cause, that is one step closer to not having to miscarry again. Re: My Story (Warning: Extremely Long)

Thanks again ladies for all your support. I had my follow up with the Dr. today. The results from the d&c aren't in yet, but I expected that. They will call when they come in. He said we have to wait 1 normal cycle before we try again. This has been such a ride.
