grrr... my doctors appointment today
everything's fine I guess, but I was so upset when I got there. For some reason they didn't put it in their records that I miscarried and they were all talking to me like I was pregnant. Once i realized their mistake, I had to correct it and I hated having to do that. It really stung. They still had me all set up for the ultrasound and everything. Ugh. And then even after I corrected it, I could hear the doctor asking somebody how far along I was before coming in to see me. They had to remind her that i was no longer expecting. What the hell??? I talked to THEM when it all happened a few weeks ago. Why can't they keep that in their records so that I'm not forced to re-live it???
I definitely was about to cry, but I'm so glad that I held it together. One of the receptionists was very encouraging though and very sweet. She also had a m/c in her past and healthy pregnancies afterwards. She was so sweet and saying that she'd see me back there very soon when I'm pregnant again. That helped.
But yeah... rough day kinda Glad it's over. I think this was the last of all the 'pregnancy' stuff. Time to move on. I can't wait until we're TTC again.

Re: grrr... my doctors appointment today
Oh, I'm sorry!
I actually had the same thing happen to me w the nurse when I went in for my follow-up. She was asking how far along? IT's like UGHHH. The staff should look in the charts before asking questions...save us the pain of having to share again.
I'm glad you are fine physically. You will be back there soon again with good news!!!!
Hopefully you will get AF soon and can start TTC again.
It is the only time we are excited to see AF!

Sorry to hear your appointment didn't go so well. It's not fun when there is lack of communication at the doctor's office.

Re: grrr... my doctors appointment today
yeah, at least I'm doing fine (physically) though. That's definitely important. She said that I didn't need another blood test or anything because my numbers were low enough last time, so that made me happy at least. I didn't want to keep doing that. Ugh.
This visit definitely gave me a peace of mind. I wanted to know that everything was ok, and apparently it is. I just wish there was better communication. That was pretty upsetting.

Re: grrr... my doctors appointment today
I'm so sorry this happened to you! .. The SAME thing happened to me too. The doctor came in and hugged me saying congrats ((she delivered my son)), and I burst out crying. I even had to tell the nurse right before the doctor came in, so I don't understand why the nurse couldn't have told her too.
They should triple check that they write that in the file so not to do that to us, but their just to dumb!
But I agree with the receptionist, you will be back there before you know it!!!

Re: grrr... my doctors appointment today
OMG! Something similar happened to me too! They called to remind me of an appointment I had for a checkup/sonogram. I had to call up the next day to schedule my D&C post-op, so I decided to do that and cancel my checkup/sonogram. The person who answered the phone was completely confused as to why I would want to cancel my checkup/sonogram. Even after she scheduled a D&C post-op for me.
What is with these offices? You would think we were the first people in history to have miscarried.

Re: grrr... my doctors appointment today
Im so sorry that happened to you!! I truly do not understand how these doctors' offices can be so absent minded. Dont they mark the file when you call?? Geez...fortunately this did not happen to me but I have had a confrontation with someone who still thought I was preggo and that really stung
ETA: Im happy otherwise that your appt was good and that you are physically fine Hopefully these next few weeks will fly by and we will be in Nov. before you know it

yes, I really do hope that this month flies by. I'm just so anxious for AF to come though. I want to know that my cycle is on time. I feel like it is, because it seemed that I was ovulating during the CD that I usually do, but I'm not positive. Sooooo just waiting on that right now (I think it's due on Monday, the 12th). For the first time ever I will be eagerly awaiting. lol.

Im kind of in the same boat right now. Im hoping my cycle is back to normal as well. If it is, I should get AF Sunday so Im hoping if I dont get it by Tuesday then I can safely test. Right now my biggest fear is AF wont come on time but I wont be pregnant and just left to wonder WTH is going on.

Ugh....I'm so sorry you had to deal with that. You would think that they would be sensitive to these situations, as they must happen pretty often.

I know, wouldn't that be bad. I'm sure that won't happen though.

Re: grrr... my doctors appointment today
I had something similar happen to me. I had my miscarriage a couple of weeks before my level 2. They called me and said I missed my appointment.. around 15 minutes later, they called to apologize , I guess they finally decided to read my records...

why do they do this? I want to start working at a doctors office just so that I can help them READ PEOPLE'S RECORDS before their appointment

How awful! Good for you for keeping it together! And the nurse is right, she will see you back there!
I have to go the Dr. tomorrow and I'm not looking forward to a situation like you experienced I don't know if I could handle it at this point.
