Spinning/ jogging during your first trimester?
Hi all!
I 8 weeks pregnant! Very excited but also very worried about the dos and donts.
I used to spin 3 to 4 times a week and run up to 4 miles the other days... I went to my doctor and she told me light up on the exercise a little. I stopped spinning completely which made me kind of sad since I love it...
Instead of running I have begin jogging 3 miles. I feeling good overall...besides feeling more tired than usual and nauseus...
My questions is...how much exercise did you do? I quit everything to jogging and pilates...but wanted to know what is really safe...
thanks!

Re: Spinning/ jogging during your first trimester?
You should check with your doctor because this really depends on your activity level and health. I was pretty active and continued exercising almost as per usual my entire first trimester - my doctor's only restriction was to listen to my body and not to push it so I just did what I normally do but less intense (including spinning, yoga, etc.). Thereafter, I switched jobs and haven't had time to exercise in the same way, but my doctor was fine with what I was doing when I was able to exercise.

Re: Spinning/ jogging during your first trimester?
I think spinning is still a great, low impact excercise during pregnancy. Just be sure to wear a heart rate monitor and keep your heart rate under the recommended rate (usually around 140).
