silly question...when you go to open houses....
how dressed up is the Real Estate Agent?
I am doing my first open house this weekend and I am freaking out about what to wear
I look so much younger then I am...so I want to dress up - people don't think I am some kid trying to sell a $600K house...
is a suit too much?

all the ones i one too were wearing a suit or a nice pair of pants and a shirt with suit jacket with heels.

I would wear a suit, IMO always better to dress the part if you know what I mean.

I don't really have business causal clothing anymore b/c I don't dress for work now
I have sweater dresses, jeans - and then suits and blazers
I think I need to invest in a new pair of black dress pants...and I will be ok

I worked in real estate during college/grad school and always dressed like an "adult"  bc I agree people won't take you seriously if they feel like your a kid.

absolutely wear a suit. IMO it's the most professional. i would at least wear dress pants and a nice blouse.
i personally found it SO strange when REAs would come with their clients in jeans or running pants  (this was when our old landlord was showing hsi house).

ITA.....i think its better to be a little overdressed than underdressed.....suits look professional so i would go for that....down here in FL it's different so much more casual (even at my hubby's job!!! so weird!!!) but up in NY def a suit........you will look great! good luck!!

I would definitely wear either a suit or a dress and jacket - you always want to dress professionally if you want people to take you seriously. Especially if you feel that you look younger - if you dress professionally you will command better attention.

I'm an agent. I usually wear a suit, dress or a skirt with a nice shirt or sweater. I try to look professional but not wall street.

You can wear a suit, or a pair of nice pants and a nice shirt.
Now, that I'm 9 months preggo I def. don't dress as nice as I used to. I pretty much go for comfy at this point
