Eva is going to be 15 months and no interest in walking
What other things other than holding her hands to help her walk ,can I do? DD#1 was walking by 12 months and dd #2 was walking by 14 months ,but Eva just has no interest ! She pulls herself on things and will walk along ,but when she wants to get across the room she drops down and drags herself on her butt everywhere ! I just don't know what else to do

Re: Eva is going to be 15 months and no interest in walking
The average age for walking is 12-15 months. Christopher didn't walk until the weekend before he turned 16 months.
BUT I will say that he got up and walked across the room the first time he walked

Re: Eva is going to be 15 months and no interest in walking
My niece did this. She just scooted everywhere on her hiney. They were starting to bring her to specialists etc... because they thought she might have a hip problem. Low and behold when she was 16-17 months, we all went to Miichigan, and she was up and walking around all over the place

Re: Eva is going to be 15 months and no interest in walking
My grandson Avery walked at 15 months....He used to do the same thing and my daughter was starting to worry. One day he just got up and started walking, and I mean, walking very well, like he had been walking for months! She will walk when she is ready.

Re: Eva is going to be 15 months and no interest in walking
I didn't walk until I was 18 months. I was an early talker and my dad always says I had no incentive to learn to walk because I could just ask people to bring me stuff

Re: Eva is going to be 15 months and no interest in walking
I wouldn't worry yet, she's still within the normal range for walking. If she's cruising I'm sure she'll just one day decide to do it on her own. My DD started walking at 15 months and my ped said he wouldn't be concerned until 18 months.

Re: Eva is going to be 15 months and no interest in walking
Don't worry...she's still in the normal range for learning how to walk. DS didn't fully walk on his own until 16 months. Before that, he had been a butt scooter for months and never crawled. A little after his 1 year birthday, he would walk if we held his hands (and he wasn't even holding us for support, more for confidence). What was most mind boggling was that he would hold heavy objects and walk a few steps, but he wouldn't walk on his own otherwise. We learned it was more of a confidence issue than a walking issue. Then all of a sudden, he just took off one day and never looked back!

Re: Eva is going to be 15 months and no interest in walking
My DD is turns 15 months in two days and still isn't walking. She has taken two to three steps unassisted on Sunday and cruises just fine but isn't a full blown walker yet. Instead if she fals she starts full on crawling to get where she wants to go. They'll walk when they are ready I guess.
