Pump Questions...
Ok, so my pump is dying..i had the avent pump for ds and ironically the last few days i was using it it would freeze mid pump... so dh and i are trying to determine if it is worth it to play with it or start off fresh for #2.. i called avent to see if they can service it and they rudely said no...
so if you exclusively pump.. what double pump do you use??? What bottles with it?? and Can you use the drop-ins with it

Re: Pump Questions...
I have a Medela Pump In Style Advanced and it works really well. Medela customer service is awesome too. I think it was worth the money but IMO it's not necessarily worth it to buy the Freestyle since you can buy (or make) a bra to do handsfree.
You can pump directly into freezer bags or Medela bottles that come with it - I'm not sure about drop ins...never tried that.

Re: Pump Questions...
thank you... i am annoyed that avent wont even service the pump... i wasnt asking even for them to service it for free, just to service it so it would work... even more annoying is that i emailed them to ask that question and they told me i needed to call, which they then told me on the phone that they do not have pump service, so why not tell me in the email

Re: Pump Questions...
I have Playtex Embrace double pump. I have pumped for 4 months, and decided to stop this week. When my suction wasn't working (about 2 weeks ago) I called Playtex and they sent me a brand new one for free- shipped overnight! I recommend it definitely!

Re: Pump Questions...
I use the Medela Pump in Style Advanced, and it's great.
Playtex sells a kit for $10 with adapters that allow you to pump directly into drop-in liners.

Re: Pump Questions...
I have a Medela PISA (backpack) and love it. I exclusively pumped for baby #1 and I'm BF'ing and pumping for baby #2. We use Playtex drop-ins as well and I have a Playtex Breast Milk Storage Kit that comes with ring adaptors to allow you to connect it to a Medela pump. I use it everyday and have no problems.

Re: Pump Questions...
I also have a Medela PISA backpack and when I called them about a tear in the zipper, they sent me a whole new pump!! So I would highly recommend them, especially since I am exclusively pumping and have had no suction issues in 3 months.

I used a Medela Symphony that I rented so can't help you there, but I used to pump right into Dr Browns bottles with the pump attachment screwed onto it. So I think you could do that with the drop in bottles too-as long as they are the small tops. Then I would just pour extra into Medela storage bottles or lansinoh freezer bags-I liked these much better than Medela ones.
