OPK line
So today will be my 5th day using opks. I have yet to get two lines, I only get the control line. I know that it is normal to get no line but I thought by now I would start getting a faint line showing me that I am not o-ing yet. Has this happened to anyone else, no test line at all for the first few days?
I am holding my urine in for 3 hours each day, testing at the same time each day and not drinking anything during the 3 hours I hold it in. TIA!

Re: OPK line
The first cycle after my miscarriage, the test line on my OPKs was practically non-existant on one day and then the very next day...BOOM!...positive! It looks like anything's possible!
Good luck!!

Re: OPK line
Yea, I'm testing at 3:00 everyday. I was worried about deciphering the lines, but I don't have to worry about that now since I have only gotten 1 line so far lol

Re: OPK line
what CD is it for you? It may just be to soon. I used to O on day 18 and now its more like 16 or 17 & it WILL vary every month.

Re: OPK line
I had the same thing this month...no line at all for 4-5 days, then 2 days of super faint lines, the next day was a little darker and today was +. So I wouldn't worry too much yet about the one line...hopefully it'll turn into 2 soon!

Re: OPK line
This always happened to me, some people have a gradual line into O, and some people it will be all over the place. I would have a really dark line one day, and nothing the next, drove me nuts! I hope you get your surge soon!

Re: OPK line
Thanks girls. I guess I'm just gonna wait for it. I think I am just getting anxious to see a fricken line!
Heather, I don't have my calendar in front of me but I think I may be CD 15 or so. So I knew I wouldn't have my surge these past few days but I was at least expecting to see a faint line.

Re: OPK line
Hey,
I would start with no line for days. Then out of nowhere a line would appear it would be dark for two days and then virtually be gone. Don't worry, it will appear.

Things I read that I don't do & don't understand...who says ok lines go from light to dark as surge gets closer? And why are people testing after they get positives? Opks say...once u get positive...stop testing.

Not everyone's OPKs go from light to dark...that is just what I've noticed with mine. I know some people's are kind of all over the place in terns of how dark they are. As far as testing after a positive...I don't know...curiousity? Maybe wanting to see how long the surge lasts?

IMO I need to begin to make this process simpler for myself, less stress ya know So, wasting the money (that I don't have) on additional tests after I get + OPK is not an option for me and the additional stress is also no longer in my TTC game plan.

I agree..less stress is key! I am thinking with the digitals though there is less guess work..smiley means Oing...with the lines maybe people continue to test b/c they don't know if the dark line they are seeing really is the true surge?
thats why its smiley face digitals for me! wish me luck I start today!!!
