If you use a neti pot, how often do you use it?

And if others in your family use one, do you have one for each person or do you share?

if it is during a time period when i cannot get sick, i use it 2x per day, same if i feel i am getting sick.

otherwise, i use it 1x per day if i have been around people who have been sick

dh doesn't use one, but if he did, we would each have our own.

i don't think it's a good idea to share a neti pot w/ someone else

I wouldn't share. I do rinse mine really well but I don't get too nuts because I am the only one who uses it. I feel like unless you put it in the dishwasher after each use, it's impossible to kill all the germs. Mine does go in the dishwasher, but not after each use.

I am sporadic- ideally, I'd use it daily but I'll go for a while, not use it, then start again. Someone posted something on parenting about how a neti pot is one step in preventing swine flu, and I'm dealing with a cold at the moment, so I'm going to use mine more often.

I am getting sick so I use it every day. Normally, I use it once a week.

oh! and we would never share one - but DH thinks its nuts anyway!

When I first got my neti, I tried to remember to use it at least once a day. Now I only use it when I feel like I am getting sick, or when I'm feeling sinus pressure. I probably should use it all the time, it's a good preventative for colds and such.
I also told my husband he should try it when I first got it, but then realized that probably isn't sanitary. He never tried it anyway.

I have horrible sinus problems so I use mine once a day. I've only been doing it for the last two months so I don't really know if it's working. I wouldn't share mine with anyone else.

when im really sick i will do it sometimes 2x a day...but once is good if you are just feeling pretty sick

I am prone to sinus issues so I it use once a day in the morning. After my sinus surgery I was doing it 4-5x a per day.

If I dont do it every morning, my nose feels 'off' and dirty. I didnt do it one day last week and all I could think about the whole day was my nose.

i went to the doctor yesterday and i have my 3rd sinus infection of the year ( January, June and October )
My doctor wants me to use the neti pot daily AND gargle with warm salt water daily to avoid future sinus issues.

I have a history of sinus issues. When I start to feel sinus/nasal issues, I will use it 2-3 times a day. I'm the only one who uses it.

once per day, twice if sick, allergies. EWW would never share.

I use the NeilMed sinus rinse. Same concept, but it's a squeeze bottle. LOVE it

ETA: I use it once per day (or I try to/shuld) whether I am sick or not.
