Someone told us once you have MRSA you have to go for a series of tests to make sure it's out of your system. Anyone ever hear of this? My husbands dr didn't mention this to us back in April but I will be sure to ask him about it tomorrow.
DS had a spot of MRSA at one point, although it never got to the point where anything had to be lanced or drained. We were never told about having to get re-tested for it. They re-swabbed the area where he had it and it came back negative so we have not had to deal with it since then.
Hope DH gets better soon.

Thanks ladies. He went for his follow up yesterday and they will be sending him for more bloodwork. Since it is now considered recurring they want to look into it further. Since we also had a slight issue with it last month. We'll see what happens.

my cousin's baby got this in the NICU - it has come back several times. I believe it's okay as long as it stays out of your blood stream - but that totally could be wrong
