How Far....OB related? (long sorry)
Do you travel to see your OB? As of now I go to Suffolk OBGYN in Smithtown which is only 20 min from my house (40 from work). The problem is the more I think about it the more i Really want to deliever at Stony Brook and they only deliver at St. Charles.
Many have recommended Three Village Women's Health but that would be about 35 min from home and probably an hour from work.
so 2 questions...
1) How far do you travel to your OB?
2) Are they any doctors that deliver at Stony Brook that are closer to Huntington/Melville?

I use to travel to the city but I no longer do that found a Dr. in Brooklyn 10 minutes from my home which will be 10 minutes from the hospital I deliver at. Sorry I don't have info for LI but best of luck in your search.

I travel about 40 min from work to the OB and about the same from home to the OB. I wish they were closer but I don't want to switch.

my first OB was blocks away from my house but I hated them. The new one is in Little Neck and Woodbury. I live in queens, so i try to go to the LIttle Neck office which takes me about 15 min if i go during the day but about an hour if i go after work. They are very close to LIJ which is where I will deliver

My OB and hospital are about 20 minutes from work and about 35-40 minutes from home. Works out easier for us because I don't like the hospitals near me in Queens and this way I can see my dr. during the week after work or at lunch.

I see a group of midwives who's practice is on the hospital grounds that I'm delivering at. Both are about a 30minute drive.

I travel about 40 min. I live in holbrook exit 61 and my dr's in manhaset exit 33 so i will be delivering at northshore. I wish it was closer but I really want a hospital with a good nicu and i love the doctors there so its worth the drive.

They have two offices. One is 5 minutes away, the other is 15. I would travel b/c I love the doctors.

My hospital is right in between work and home- 15 minutes from both. My doctor is about 10 minutes from home, once again, in between work and home.

I actually go about 30 miles to mine. I have been using my OB/gyn for 10 years and didn't want to switch when I was pg.

About 30 minutes from work and probably about 45 minutes from home with no traffic.
The doctor I go to is affiliated with LIJ. And even though I live in Western Suffolk, after giving birth there in December, and also having 2 nieces in Schneiders, I would never deliver anywhere else.
It's worth the drive for me!

My Dr. is about 35-40 min away and so is the hospital. I was so nervous about the hospital being far away but it really was not an issue when DS was born. Except for the fact that once my contractions got to 5 minutes apart I was yelling at DH to speed to the hospital because i wanted my epi asap!!
