Moving to IVF
DH and I have been TTC for over 19 months with no luck, since we've tired everything IVF is our last option.
We have a consult on Sat. to discuss the IVF process. Just wondering if there are any specific questions that I should be asking.
We'll be paying out of pocket so a huge concern of our is the cost, I just trying to get as much info as possible, so any info you girls can give me will be a great help!

When we had our IVF consult... they were over SO many things that they actually answered any questions I had before I even asked.
You can ask about payment plans if that's an option. you can also ask if there are any discounts for paying in cash. you might also want to ask about their policy on donated meds. i know that some clinics will take back unused meds and donate them to people like you who are paying OOP. my clinic did NOT do that though...
ask about any additional costs that might be encountered like cryo (freezing) and storage costs...
other things you might want to ask about that are sort of money-related are...
what happens if you only see that a small number of follies are growing? are you able to cancel your cycle at that point if you choose to and roll the extra $ over into the next cycle? (i know for us, since we were paying OOP we definitely wanted to "most bang for our buck" - KWIM? so we wanted to have a significant amount of follies so we'd have the best chances for having embryos to transfer and to freeze)
on the same kind of note... what happens if none of the embryos survive to day 3? do you still pay the full cost?

Thank you so much!!! I'm so afraid that I'm going to forget to ask something of have something explained and a random cost is going to come up that we didnt plan for.
