Do you have alot of kids out?
On Thursday I have 7 out
On Friday and Monday I had 6 and today I have 9 out!!! One teacher in the building had 16 out!! Some the parents e-mailed me that they have the flu/swine flu and strep throat is also going around. I have been lysoling the room everyday since the first day of school and we use clorox wipes constantly along with hand washing. I think I am going to make my class have OCD with how crazy I am getting trying to keep everything clean!!

Attendance has been normal for me... Right now, there's nobody sick in my class  (though I have a class of 10) .. and I haven't heard any chatter about anything going around.....
If you are in a city school you could check the attendance for all the city schools on the DOE website!

I'm upstate and we have so many kids out. Each class I teach has at least 4 kids out and there are many teachers out as well.

3 were out today, and 3 more went home. One school nearby almost had to take some of our specialists to sub because so many teachers were out - we were like, heck no, don't bring the plague to us!
What a mess! We have conferences next week... we were almost wondering if it would be beneficial to just close the schools w-f to sanitize them and let the kids get healthy!

I am in Virginia. Out of 756 students in out school over 164 were out today!! Average in our school on any given day is about 25-35.

My kids have been dropping like flies. Two out yesterday, two out today, one went home early, and almost all of them are coughing/sneezing/sniffling.

oh wow - I hope it's nothing serious. We have really good attendance - even when we had swine flu in one of the schools in the district, our school still had near perfect attendance.

I have had some students absent all week so far and a few more kids are absent everyday. The ones who are not out are coughing and sneezing all over the place.

6 out today!!! Tuesday I called out though because I was vomitting my brains out (I KNOW TMI SORRY!)  something is DEFINATELY going around!!! be careful ladies!!!!

A 1st grade class in my building had 8 out over the course of a week, and today a kindergarten class had 6 out. It definitely seems to be going around the building.

One student finally came back today and he looked just awful. He said his parents made him come in because he had been out long enough. (He is in 11th grade and is a great student). He seriously looked like he was going to pass out. We watched a video during class and I let him sleep. I hope his parents let him stay home tomorrow.
