Re: Absolute Yankee Madness
This is the first time in 9 years that the Yankees have won the World Series -it's not like it's an everyday occurrence.
I was able to get 8 rows back on Broadway and saw all of the players. It was me, my sister, BIL, 10 year old nephew and 7 year old niece (DH had to work of course). It was one of the best experiences ever!!! And the excitement in the kids eyes was unforgettable. It was not violent by any means. It was incredible seeing a sea of blue and chanting the roll call as the players went by.
Oh, and while taking the A train back to Penn, who is sitting in front of us? No other than Michael Kay. He was super nice and signed autographs and took pictures with the kids.

Re: Absolute Yankee Madness
I had an AMAZING time at the parade. I am sure it sucks for all the people who have work today but you know what? come Monday, your commute wil be back to normal and happy people celebrating won't be anywhere near you.
I went up to my boss yesterday, and told him I was going to the parade and he told me to have fun and take pictures. I have over 40 vacation days and 60 sick days - so how I choose to use them is MY business
Also, I was on an empty E to and from the parade! It worked out perfectly!
