Which one -Sony Reader/Kindle/B&N Nook

I want an ereader for Xmas and I dont know which to ask DH for. The Sony seems the most enticing but only bc its $60 cheaper than the other 2.

Any reviews on any of them?

I keep going back and forth about getting one - I really like the feel of a book in my hand, I don't know that I'd like the e-readers, but I keep looking at them. C-net prefers the Kindle to the Sony one. The Nook seems to have the most functionality, that's the one I'd get if I get one.

I have the kindle, so I can't comment on the other 2.

But I love my kindle. It was hard to get used to not turning pages, but it makes reading more comfortable. No more hand cramps from holding a book a certain way too long.

I've had a kindle for about 2 years and Chat Icon it. Unlike the Sony reader you can download a book directly on to your kindle from anywhere. I commute on the train to work and when I am done with one book, I can then log on to Amazon through my kindle and download another in about a minute.

You don't even realize you aren't reading a book and this is coming from an english teacher. Best present my DH ever bought me!

I don't know anything about the nook because it just came out.

is there a club or something that you can join for one price per month or do you pay per download? about how much does it run and can you get downloads from the Library?

DH wants to get me one for Xmas also and i get my books now from library and cant see spending so much and then have to buy each download.

Thanks

Me too!

I really can't decide.

I know this sounds wierd but I LIKE the hunt for a book, going to the library and book store...

I feel like I will miss the process of picking my book...I must sound crazy Chat Icon

I would definitely get the Kindle OR the Nook. I LOVE my Kindle.

The Sony Reader is annoying because you have to hook it up to the computer to download books - I just think of how long it takes me to get around to uploading my pictures off of my digital camera LOL

I know what you mean! I love to wander the library looking at books, trying to find the one that speaks to me and looks good. I would miss that too, and I would be afraid to miss out on new or obscure authors too.

(But I do really want a Kindle lol)
