Top LI School Districts
Anyone have a link to a reliable source for current rankings? The most recent I can find is the NYS report card for 2007, but I was hoping for an update...even from Newsday. Thanks.

it really depends on what you are looking for. Some people like small SD for individual relationships; some large for more options/elective...neither is right or wrong...just a preference.

Re: Top LI School Districts
You can go on the website www.mlsli.com and then on the left hand side there is a button for School Information. You then would put in the town you are looking for and you will get the statistics for that area.
Having said that, you do need to be careful with this informaiton because some schools have more special needs classes which can bring down school scores, but is actually a benefit to you if you ever need those services. Also some schools are better with languages, sports, music, art programs etc. These aspects are not usally covered in the reports.
Hope that helps!

Keep in mind, often this not not accurate. I have seen MLS links people to schools that are in neighboring districts, not the one the house is listed in.
