Spinoff to 2nd Trimester...what week is it really? w/Poll
OK Sooo...
Everywhere i turn i get conflicting info on what really is the beginning of the 2nd trimester...
Websites range from 12-14 weeks and so do the different doctors...
What week do YOU consider to be the first week of the Second Trimester?

I'm pretty sure the 1st tri ends at like 13w3d (answered on your other post) so I think some round up and some round down.
My doc goes by 14 weeks because the ultrascreen (which can be done up to 13w6d) is called the first trimester screening so as not to confuse people about the test she rounds up to 14.

Most places I read said 13.5 weeks is the second tri. So that is what I went with.

I had a convo about this with my high risk OB yesterday (since I'm 12w tomorrow). She said it doesn't really matter, but to go with 12 weeks. She said that you are considered full term at 37 weeks, so the math all adds up.
