thanks... u guys rock
Ive had fever, chills and sweats all night and all day.
Anyone reccomend anything I can do to not get dehydrated? I cant hold down tea/water/seltzer...
**edit** called doctor and he said to drink gatorade but im asking because i cant go out and I'm home alone till 3...
**Edit 2- Anyone have any reccomendations of what they have been able to hold down when sick? I got a message from one saying sugar in hot water.... im willing to try anything
Sorry im not making any sense, im sick so my brain isnt working with the typing

Thats what I'm asking?
Is there anything anyone can reccomend... like sugar in warm water or anything they have been able to keep down while sick?
Willing to try anything at this point

Maybe suck on ice cubes?? I find this easier sometimes than drinking

If you can't hold down water, you won't hold down sugar water. You might need IV fluids, it is different because you are preggo. Not to say that something will happen to the baby-you will be fine. I would try to get DH home pronto. Ask the doctor if you should go to the ER, depending on when the last time you were able to hold down fluids.

I spoke to the doctor and he said i would have to come in at 3 when dh gets home so he can figure it out but to try anything to get fluids down right now until i can get in.

what about broth?
fruit juice?
flat soda?
can you keep down a couple sips of water? i'd try sipping on something every so often.
dehydration can be very serious when you're pregnant.
i'd have someone get you gatorade or something that you can keep down.. or see what else your doctor recommends.

the fruit juice i tried earlier caused acid reflux which turned into... the fun stuff
heating up broth now...thank u

Sipping water with lemon and sugar helps me. use more lemon than sugar.

I just did this thank you so much, i never thought of calling them. They are delivering pedialyte to me. Thank you so muchhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was going to recommend pedialyte. Good job Pharmacist. In the mean time try drinking room temp things slowly through a straw ie water. Just little sips. Some times the cold can cause the cookies to be tossed. Also do you have an lolipops you can suck on just for a taste of sugar. Maybe preggie pops since they have ginger which can help an upset tummy. Hope you feel better
