amoxicillin and pregnancy
Has anyone been on amoxicillin during pregancy? I have a bad cough and wheezing and my GP gave me a script for it. My ob/gyn office is closed so I could not get an appt or talk to them. Everything I have read says that it is generally safe and that if the benefits outway the risks you should take it. Just curious who else has been on an antibiotic during their pregnancy.

My OB gave me a script for it after a wound got infected. The wound was on my belly and I was past 36 weeks pregnant so she wanted to clear it up before I gave birth. I took it and my DC turned out fine.

I am on augmentin for a sinus infection and it is pretty much the same thing-both are class B

Yes, super early in my pregnancy I got a sinus infection. PCP called the OB and he was fine with amoxicillin.

My PCP prescribed it for a bad sinus infection I had during my 1st trimester, I was nervous about taking it but my OB reassured me it was okay to take.

I was on it with both pregnancies. I was on it this pregnancy because dr. thought I had strep. Then the test came back neg and he switched me to augmentin because I still wasn't better.

I was on it from the dentist, my ob said it was fine. The script was for 3x day 500mg.
