Re: 18 weeks, no movement yet :(
Try not to stress. I had flutters from weeks 14-17 and then nothing in weeks 18 and 19. I started to freak out and then as soon as 20 weeks hit, the baby started moving and hasn't stopped!!
Don't worry.

Re: 18 weeks, no movement yet :(
That makes me feel SO much better. Of course I was trying to make sense of it and couldn't, thinking to myself that at 18 weeks the baby has to be bigger than it was at 15 weeks when I was feeling flutters! lol Thanks :)

Re: 18 weeks, no movement yet :(
I didn't feel flutters at all with my first pregnancy until I was 19 weeks...and that was only b/c I was home in bed sick and doing absolutely nothing, otherwise I don't think I would have felt them then either.
I'm 16 weeks with baby #2 now and still haven't felt anything...but again, I am never laying there perfectly still with a toddler at home, so it's possible I've missed them so far...hoping I feel them soon!

Re: 18 weeks, no movement yet :(
My mom and I read in a book today that to try and stimulate movement, drink and ice cold glass of OJ and then lie down, relax and take deep breaths. Something about the cold and the sugar is supossed to stimulate the baby.
Good luck!!!

Re: 18 weeks, no movement yet :(
I felt flutters very sporadically in weeks 17/18 with my 1st pg. Then didn't feel anything until I felt kicks around 22 weeks.

Don't worry yourself. I didn't feel real movement until close to 21 weeks. As long as you feel it by 22 weeks, you are fine.
