Best soy based formula for sensitive tummies?
I'm going to start weaning soon and make the transition to formula - Yael has a sensitive tummy, she has a difficult time with digestion, and I suspect she has a sensitivity to milk, so I'm going to start on a soy based formula.
Any suggestions?

I don't know, but I do know that alot of babies who have milk sensitivities also have issues with soy. Just a heads up, why not start with Gentlease and then go from there? DS had milk sensitivity as well and when he had to have occasional formula he did very well on it.

Re: Best soy based formula for sensitive tummies?
I was using enfamil b4 we got switched to nutramigen.
But one of the nurse at my Dr office, told me to try the target brand soy bc the ingredients are exactly the same. So I looked and they where exactly the same, it was just much cheaper. I think enfamil brand was $22.00 a can and the target brand was $14.00

I use similac isomil soy formula and love it. I went throught 4 other brands before settling on this one. So far there have not been and problems with it and I have been using it for 3 months.

From a ped. dietitian standpoint.
The best formula for sensitive tummies is Gentlease. Soy formulas are outdated and are not really used that often.
The benefit of Gentlease over all other formulas is that it is reduced lactose and has partially hydrolyzed proteins. The partially broken down proteins make it easier on digestion.
Gentlease is the best formula in my opinion! I love it and recommend it often.

Similac Isomil. To be honest, if she has issues with digestion, you may end up with a formula like Alimentum.
