Disney on Ice Review!
We just got home a little while ago from Disney on Ice. Eddie is almost 2.5 and he LOVED it. He was still too young to know most of the characters as he hasnt seen most of the disney classics, but he loves Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald and Daisy. He literally squealed and laughed and clapped with joy when the came out onto the ice, he was SO excited. It actually made me tear up to see how happy he was.
Despite not knowing most of the characters, he loved it. It got long for him in some spots and we started to lose him, but DH went and got him a MM snow cone and all was better. The Mulan scene is a little long.
The only complaint I have is beauty and the beast. It gets really dark and spooky and they play creepy music. The beast yells and then he gets stabbed center ice and skates off. It scared the CRAP out of Eddie and he spent the next 10 minutes going...."I want to go home, I dont like this." I understand its how the movie goes, but I just thought there were other scenes from the movie that could have been acted out instead, and that the entire age range of their audience should be considered.
Overall.....we all LOVED it and had a great time and it was worth every penny.
We sat in the first few rows of the upper section and could still see everything just fine.

it apparently has something to do with the death of Walts mother, that he has always felt responsible for.....or so the story goes, its also why their are never any mothers in Disney stories, or so they say.

Re: Disney on Ice Review!
Oh I am so glad you liked. I am excited to take my DD tomorrow afternoon. She's younger than Eddie (only 15 1/2 months) but she is already a Disney addict so hopefully she loves it too!!! How long was the show total?

Yay, I can't wait to go tomorrow! Thanks for the heads up on Beauty and the Beast though. I know he won't like that.

Re: Disney on Ice Review!
The show was probably just shy of 2 hours with an intermission.
