OMG Zantac was my best friend last night!!!
I've had heartburn the entire pregnancy and have been taking tums and taking a little Mylanta before bed. Well the past month I've been waking up almost every night with horrible heartburn that it makes me gag and I have to get up and take 2 more tums. Then I wake up with a chalky taste in my mouth in the morning and it makes me gag.
Well I bought some Zantac yesterday and took it about an hour before I went to bed. No heartburn at all. I still didn't sleep very well but at least I wasn't gagging. I wish I had taken it sooner, but I was trying to hold off.

Heartburn when trying to sleep is the WORST...I feel your pain - been suffering REALLY BAD the last few nights....

Zantac 150 was my best friend during my pregnancy. I suffered from GERD before I was pregnant and it was so bad during my pregnancy that I ended up in the hospital one night. I was on Nexium until 2 1/2 months pregnant and then my insurance stopped covering it. I was put on Aciphex which really did nothing. Then I found Zantac 150. It was a godsend for me. I took one everyday and when things got really bad, I took another one....

i took my first one last night before dinner, HB is officially back at 24.5 weeks. It WORKED No heartburn yet today!

Just started taking Prilosec and seriously would marry it if I wasn't already taken. Never had heartburn before so it hit me like a mack truck!
