Music together & sickness WWYD??
We have our second music together class tomorrow and DD has and ear infection. She's been off the last few days, woke up with a fever this morning. We went to the doctor today and she started her antibiotics tonight - she still had a fever at the doctor.
I just don't know what to do about tomorrow? Do I go if she doesn't have a fever in the morning? I don't want to get other kids sick and I dont want her to get any sicker.
I'm just bummed because next weekend DH & I have a conference out east, so she will miss another class unless my MIL takes her, which I am still up in the air on.
WWYD about tomorrow and next week w/MIL????

If she has a fever this afternoon she shouldn't be there. I would wait until she is fever free for 24 hours (without fever reducing meds) and on antibiotics for at least 24-48 hours. If she only started antibiotic tonight and still had a fever this afternoon she is still contagious.

If it were my DC I wouldn't take him. They allow you to make up any classes you miss even into the next session so why not let her rest and get better first?

Please keep her home for at least 24 hours after the fever.....she needs the rest and the class does not need the germs.

I never took my son to Music Together when I felt that either his immunity was down or he could get other kids sick. I felt that missing Music Together is not like missing academics at school. There is no falling behind in the class. I'm going to carry on with this way of thinking and then re-think it when he gets to be school age.

Our MT allows 2 makeups per session. I would let MIL take her next week and keep her home this week. Schedule a makeup and it will be like she never missed a class
