working out
Please tell me what your work out consists of I'm 20 weeks and would like to get moving again. I was on bedrest for 6 weeks and stopped all excercise.
I ordered a prenantal DVD and resistance bands so I'll start that today. I'm debating on joining the gym again
Ladies that go to the gym, what machines are you using?
TIA!

Re: working out
I chase a 15 month old. After he goes to bed I reward myself by doing several arm lifts with cookies to my mouth. That is the extent of my exercise.
All kidding aside, good for you for working out!!

Re: working out
I'm curious too. I'm only 10 weeks but I've basically stopped going to the gym since about 6 because I've been so exhausted and feeling faint and nauseous.
I'm hoping that by the 2nd trimester I'm feeling better and can get back to the gym!

Same on both accounts here. I am in a wedding in October but I'm not worrying about working out at this point. I have enough working out ahead of me, I'm going to enjoy my time being lazy.

Re: working out
I have been doing Yoga and some walking. I bought a DVD and ork out at home. I also walk outside when its warm. It is hard to find time and always being tired doesnt help, but I do as much as I can. I try to do at least 3 days a week. I would join a gym but not looking for any extra expense. I will join once the baby is born.

Re: working out
So happy to hear that I am not the only one who hasn't worked out since getting my BFP.
I am just exhausted & nauseous to even think about going to the gym.
I'm going into my 8th week.
HOPING that I can get my as S back into the gym as soon as the 2nd trimester begins.
Otherwise, I'm going to need some serious excercise/diet regime once this baby is here...lol

Re: working out
I try to get to the gym 3 times a week (couldn't do much in the first tri b/c I was so tired). I'll do 30 mins on an inclined treadmill or the elliptical then 15 mins of stretching/squats/light weights. I also just started a prenatal yoga dvd every morning and I love it. Want to find a place to do it "live". lol. We also just moved to Brooklyn temporarily and do a LOT of walking.

Too funny...at least you have a 15 mo old to chase. I've got none and the cookie to mouth arm lift is about all I'm getting in at 18 weeks. I'm just too tired for exercise. I know I should do it to get more energy but I'm not in the mood.

Re: working out
I try to do something at least 2 times a week- usually the gym or walk/run outside. The gym I take the classes and just slow down when I feel I need to. I haven't been able to do anything outside in a while because of the cold, but may go for a walk/run tonight since it's warmer out.

Re: working out
I walk on the treadmill (or do the elliptical) at a 4-5 mile pace for about 45 minutes 3 times a week. I was doing that prior to BFP but stopped due to m/s and exhaustion until about 13 weeks.
For weights, I lift my DD. That's enough for me!
I want to add in some pre-natal yoga too.

Re: working out
I walk from the bedroom to the couch and then back. Sometimes I will walk to the fridge.
I do walk for real though when I feel up to it.
