I'll tell you... the classes for kids are very nice, but I did not renew my membership (where you get unlimited use of the indoor playground, etc). The "childcare" situation there is abominable-- the employees (if there is even more than one around in the playground) stand around and gossip while large numbers of kids of all ages are running wild. Nobody looks up till an accident happens and someone is crying. I have a nice elliptical machine and DVDs, I'll just exercise at home for free, thank you very much.

I have been a member at Orly's for about 2 years. It is a saving grace for me and my family. I find the staff to be trustworthy and responsible and my children absolutley love them. Orly's treehouse is our home away from home!

Wow that is really crappy and I was going to post something objective and fairly nice about some changes they implemented for the issue with members children running wild in the playground with minimal supervision. Oh well I will go back to being annoyed that their changes made the playground smaller for the rest of us.

Another thing I am not thrilled about re: Orly's is that they took away the nice (although it was expensive) little cafe they used to have... now there is nothing but vending machines selling junk food and bad coffee.
I don't want to come across like an Orly's basher because I also posted something negative before this thread got bumped again. The classes are WONDERFUL, both my kids have taken numerous classes there. But Orly's membership is NOT cheap, and for the price they charge I was disappointed with some aspects of the place.

not a member but I have been to several parties there and I witnessed the same thing every time, young staff who stood around playing with their hair, chit chatting with other employees or just not being mindful of the kids.

I took my son there once when he was two and encountered the same problem with the staff standing around texting, gossiping, etc, while the kids, many of them much older, ran wild. I have not been back.
