I'm worried
OK...so I bought the CBE fertility monitor and it says it tells u up to 5 fertile days...well today is CD13 and it still is showing LOW! What does that mean? Mymonthly cycles said I am giong to O on Wednesday CD16...but shouldn't that at least give me a high reading by now? Is this wierd?? Then...if I do O late I have to worry about shor LP's and stuff?? so I'm worried..should I be?

Re: I'm worried
I'm not sure about the monitors bc I've never used them but do you notice any EWCM yet? I usually track my O date by my CM I haven't tried the monitors yet but I wouldn't just base my Oing on the monitors bc they're not 100% accurate and there are so many other things to look at.
Do you temp at all?
Good Luck, for you to O

Re: I'm worried
try not to worry too much. from what i've read, the monitor takes some time to "get to know you" in the first few months and you may go straight from a low reading to a peak reading. or, you may only get one high reading (tomorrow) and then a peak reading on tuesday. i had so much doubt the first month i used the monitor but then i realized it's pretty accurate. i know it's easier said than done but try not to stress too much about it

Re: I'm worried
Dont stress at all!! The first month the monitor needs to get used to your cycles. In fact it is said that it could take up to three months for the monitor to "get to know you and your cycle." There was a month where I only had 4 high days. I also have friends who only get 1 peak, when the booklet says you can get two peak days. I also read online about a girl who didnt get a peak and her RE said that the monitor didnt pick it up bc he knows she ovulated already. My first month it never gave me low, only high and peak. I think it just takes time to get used to your hormone levels. This is my 4th month with the monitor and it gave me 10 high days and finally a peak today! So who knows!!!! Wait it out...if this continues you can call the help line and ask them their opinion. Hope this helps and I didnt just ramble on!

Re: I'm worried
I agree with pp. Your second month will read better. For me it showed low low then the next day mid then High. I think the first month it stores your information and then the next month it knows your cycle length. Dont be discouraged. You may see it pop up high in the next few days. I think you have to set it and test in the same 3hr time span too. That may make a difference.
Good Luck

Re: I'm worried
The first month I used the monitor, I only had 2 high days before the peak. It was high on CD 14 and 15 and peak at 16 and 17.

Re: I'm worried
oh thank you so much ladies I feel so much better. phew! that makes perfect sense. I would totally be fine w/ low and then peak..i'm not counting on it toally...so that's great. I was just concerned when I saw that it said up to 6 high days I was like woah! I don't have that...so maybe in the next day or so it will change. Thank you so much...you talked me off the ledge..lol

Re: I'm worried
the monitor takes awhile to get to know you. A high reading means a rise in estrogen, and a peak reading means LH surge. However, the monitor takes percent of each that it detects, and needs to get to know you. So it's possible that the first month you will only get high readings, without a peak. that doesn't mean you didn't ovulate because you saw no peak, it just means that the monitor cannot determine your percents yet, so it reads everything as high. it took my monitor 3 months before detecting a peak for me, and the month it detected the peak, i had about 6 or 7 days of high first. don't freak! let it do it's job :O)

Re: I'm worried
I am a late ovulator. On the CBEFM, I wouldn't get a high reading until day 18 or so. Every month is a little different. It is ok As long as your LP is 10 days, you don't need to worry. Also, it depends on if you have a 28, 29 or 30 day cycle.

I have been a steady 29 days. that's what worried me. Still a low reading on CD 14 which was today...my monthly cycles said I will ovulate Wednesday...we'll see...
