Short luteal phase after clomid + IUI?

Good morning ladies, I hope everyone is well.

I have a question concerning a short luteal phase after IUI.

I had an IUI on February 4th (the day of ovulation) and scheduled follow up blood work for the 11th. Unfortunately, I couldn't make the appointment due to weather - wound up going on Saturday morning. They left a message that my progesterone level was very low, but because I was 9dpo, they were not going to treat it at that time - I was probably going to be getting my period within the next couple of days. I started spotting late Sunday night with full flow on Monday. (Sorry for the TMI). My luteal phase is usually 13 days - what would cause it to be only 10 days? I have been playing phone tag with my RE and was wondering if you ladies had any insight for me.

I had a shortened luteal phase also with my iui's. I would start light spotting around 10dpiui. By 12dpiui AF came. My progesterone was checked at 5-7pdiui and it was fine... It might just be that your cycle acts differently during iui's. Mine did. I went down to 25 day cycles.

I didnt have Chlomid though

I had slightly shorter cycles overall with Clomid, and found that my LP was 12-14 days after the IUI's

I've heard that Clomid can make your LP shorter as well - mine seems to be similar or slightly shorter than before i took it

My LP shortened a bit after Clomid/ IUI so my dr put me on progesterone to help lengthen the cycle. Can't hurt for you to ask your dr about it. Sometimes meds can affect your body in different ways so the Clomid may have affected your cycle this month.
