Waiting to be induced
I was all set to be induced today, despite my fears, my worries...I spent all of yesturday mentally clearing my head and trying to stay calm. I had instructions to call L&D @ 6 am and I did...at that point I was told that there were no beds, and to call back at 10:30 am...which I did...still no beds 
Called back at 1 pm...still no beds! And the nurse took down my # and said "We will call you if something comes up...maybe after dinner"!
So now I've spent all day slowly slipping back into worry mood...waiting and thinking and second guessing this whole induction process. My emotions are ALL over the place & DH is absolutely NO help as he sits in the living room watching Transformers 2 And my phone keeps ringing with everyone wondering "whats going on"
My Mom offered to take me to the mall to walk around and I think I will go to pass time and just get out of the house.
I guess this is just the beggining of a process that I will have no control over...
I just had to vent and maybe ask for some pixie dust or something that I will get a room soon and get this process underway b4 I run away and change my mind for good!

Ugh.......I'm so sorry! That's terrible. I'm sure u really did prepare yourself mentally----not to be put on hold must be so stressful. It's not like you're waiting for tickets to a Yankee game....helloooooooo....

Something similar happened to my sister. She finally got tired of answering the phone that she changed her answering machine to say, soemthing along the lines that she was still home, and that when she was heading to the hospital that everyone would be updated

Still nothing..just spoke to my ob he said he will def try to get me in tonight. Went to the mall and now Im back at home waiting....
Lets see what happens...thanks for the encouragement so far ladies!

Good luck! This happened to me except I was already at the hospital - I waited almost 12 hours for a room but I wasn't going home until I got one - I was so done at that point. Don't stress about the induction - it'll be fine and hopefully they'll get you in tonight!!
