Random Stony Brook Hospital question
Do they ever get "over-filled" in the maternity rooms? I know it's common in most hospitals (it was overfilled at St. Charles when I delivered, thankfully someone left right after I delivered so I got a bed), but since ALL rooms are private at Stony Brook, I wonder how this works...since I know at other hospitals with shared rooms, they can often bump up the # of patients in each room to fit everyone.
I'm delivering in the summer and I know that's the busy season, so just wondering if this happens there and what the do about it .
ETA: Obviously I'm speaking about the rooms for AFTER you deliver, not the labor rooms

Re: Random Stony Brook Hospital question
They actually have two floors for post delivery OB patients. Right now the census is not that high and they only have one floor open. So they have plenty of private rooms. Their L&D does fill up though, so after you deliver they try to move you! Any more questions feel free to ask!
