Substitute Teaching next year
Hi everyone... Do you think if I subbed in about 3 or 4 different school districts (nassau) there would be a better chance of me getting a call everyday? I'm so nervous about next year because I might be losing my job and don't know what to do. I NEED to work everyday. Thank you for your help!

You can try that, and also try working for larger districts. For example, I know that Oceanside has 6 elementary schools!

If there is someone who does the calling at the school (ie: it is not a computer system) I suggest getting friendly with the caller. I subbed in Levittown a few years ago and I would get called at least 4 times a week.

I remember when I was a sub, some schools frowned upon being on more than one sub list.

I don't think you will have trouble. I am in a very small school, but we are always in need of subs AND we have a permanent sub (plus there are other schools in my SD)
