Re: cosmetic surgery
If I wasn't such a chicken with pain, surgery, anasthesia etc I would have totally gotten a boob job years ago! TOTALLY!
Other than that there isn't much I would do...maybe some botox or something here or there for fine lines etc. But again- I'm too chicken!

Re: cosmetic surgery
have you ? No, but only because I am deathly scared of surgery
would you? I would if I wanted it badly enough
how do you feel about those who have had it done? I think no one should be unhappy, and if they have valid reasons (you know, not just an addiction to surgery,) then by all means, go for it! life is too short to be unhappy, especially with yourself.
how much would be too much? heidi montagish.

Re: cosmetic surgery
I go back and forth about breast implants. Mostly because of the cost.
edit: for those who have done it - more power to you.
too much - see: montag, heidi

Re: cosmetic surgery
I wouldn't mind lifting my boobs so I don't trip over them anymore.
But I probably won't do it, but that's just me.
I have no qualms over those who do it. In the end it's about doing what is best for you and whether it helps makes you feel better about your body.

Re: cosmetic surgery
I have had a tummy tuck.
I had 2 kids under 2 and my DD destroyed my stomach. My ab muscles were so mangled and pushed forward I looked 7 months pregnant when she was 5 months old. I HATED how I looked and it really took a toll on me mentally. DH was actually the one to tell me to go for a consult. He saw how miserable I was but I was so worried about the money aspect I kept putting it off. So I went for the consult and booked it for 2 months later.
I had the tuck and some lipo on my love handles 2 years ago last week. It was the absolute BEST thing I have ever done for myself and it really changed me.. inside and out! The recovery was HARD and painful.. much worse than my c-section, but every bit of it was worth it.
I can now wear age appropriate clothing.. I am 29.. and feel good about myself.

Re: cosmetic surgery
I had my nose done in HS and would do it again in a heartbeat.
As far as more......once we decide we are definitely dont having kids....tummy tuck and breast lift here I come!
I have no qualms about having work done, and Id do it again in a second.
As for other people, what they do with their body is none of my business so if they want it, I say go for it.

Re: cosmetic surgery
I have not had any done. I think about it a lot and DH and I have talked about it once we are done having children. I must admit I am chicken about the recovery and pain....but if I am that unhappy physically, I would def. consider it.
I say if you want it and you are unhappy with how you look - go for it. You would be surprised how many people have had some kind of cosmetic surgery.

Re: cosmetic surgery
i would do boobs - but i don't hate mine enough to actually do the surgery, my boobs are pretty nice so i don't think it's worth messing with just yet (i'm afraid i would regret it now) but maybe after kids...
i would def do botox - i already have lines in my forehead at 25 and i hate them...and i'd do laser for some scars i have - just don't have the $$ right now...
i think if someone wants to have surgery or a procedure done it is their business...i think it's only a problem if you become addicted/have false expectations/body dismorphic disorder...

Re: cosmetic surgery
I would consider a breast lift/and/or reduction
I would consider botox
I think too much would be those people who get surgery after surgery and people who are like 80 and have less wrinkles than I do at 29

Re: cosmetic surgery
As long as they are tasteful I am all for cosmetic surgery. I joke with DH that after we have kiddies, I will go to a plastic surgeon with a picture of Kim K's body and say DO THIS to me!

Re: cosmetic surgery
Maybe when I'm old (er) , but not really sure..... So far I'm satisfied with the way I look , no complains
Def will consider botox (or if anything better comes out) when I'm over 35 , closer to 40.

Re: cosmetic surgery
I had my boobs done as well as liposuction to my belly, hips, back, love handles. I work for a plastic surgeron so she went crazy on me. But it was well worth it The first week was the hardest, but after that all was good. I had only wanted lipo on my belly, but when she was done marking me up I looked like a road map

Re: cosmetic surgery
when I am done having children absolutely!!! after my second child I got abdominal separation and the only way to fix it is to have surgery but you must be done having children. I lost so much weight but I look 5 months pg b/c of how my ab muscles protrude outward, I hate it! I cant wait probably in 2 years and I will have them do some lipo and a lift too if needed. so excited!

Re: cosmetic surgery
I got a breast reduction done almost 4 years ago. Best thing I ever did for myself. If I could afford a tummy tuck, I would do it tomorrow.

Re: cosmetic surgery
have you? no
would you? if you would, what would you like done? I have always played with the idea of having my breasts done--but am too chicken to do it. In the future I think I might, I also would do botox and/or have work done on my face.
how do you feel about those who have had it done? I feel that as long as they are happy good for them! Of course someone like Heidi Montag, I feel put herself at risk and no doctor should do that many surgery on one person at one time.
how much would be too much? See above RE: Heidi

Re: cosmetic surgery
I had a tummy tuck and breast reduction about a year ago.
I am a smaller person, and after having 2 huge babies, my stomach was shot and my boobs were huge. I also had 3 painful hernias.
Best thing I ever did. Totally worth the money and the pain was easily managed.

Re: cosmetic surgery
Have I? Nope
Would I? heck yes! My mom had her eyes done and she became a new person! People were always asking her if she was tired or sick since she had big bags under her eyes. She is a receptionist so she sees people all day long. She never wore make up, took any interest in her appearance at all, but once she had the surgery she was more outgoing and happy person!
When the time comes and I need my eyes done or a tummy tuck, heck yea I will get it done!

Re: cosmetic surgery
I have breast implants- I wanted them for years and after what I went thru I treated myself
The pain wasn't so bad...only the first 2 days were horrible and by the 8th day I was back to normal
Totally worth it! I love the results!
I would get more things done- as needed- botox etc.
And of course...I think heidi is too much...I think you should enhance what you already have not become someone else

Re: cosmetic surgery
I haven't, but I would.
I have no problem with anyone who does - it's not my business to tell anyone how to feel about themselves, or how and when to be happy/satisfied w/ their face and/or body.
I might THINK someone has gone WAY overboard, or gotten a really bad (or obvious.......I HATE obvious 'work) facelift or whatever .......but I'd never SAY that
ETA - I don't really have anything in mind that I REALLY want to do - but if I got to the point where something fixable was really bothering me, I'd do it.
