Soaking dried chick peas?
When I read the directions it said you could do it in either cold water over night or boiling water for a few hours. I did the cold water and they have been soaking for 2-3 days already and they are still hard and have a raw taste to them. What am I doing wrong? And how can I fix it?

I believe you have to cook them after you soak them...
Soak them overnight, then put them in the crockpot, cover them with water and put on low overnight.
eta: or you can simmer them on the stove, friends who've done it prefer the crockpot...
