POLL - Kindle or Nook

I searched using the search feature and I didn't see any polls - just topics - so I'm sorry if this has been done.

TIA!

Re: POLL - Kindle or Nook

I just got the nook and I love it. I debated back and forth, but I really like to look at the book covers when picking books, and the nook allows you to do this. I didn't like that the kindle has a keyboard on the bottom, with the nook its all a touch screen kinda like an i-touch on the bottom.

ETA- with the nook you can also download ebooks for free from the library which was a HUGE bonus for me, because I read alot and I don't want to purchase new books all the time. It also has the lend me feature and you can lend a book you purchase to a friend who also has a nook.

I have a Kindle and now that I am used to it, I really do like it.

ANd you can find books for free all the time on the Kindle. I think that is the biggest misnomer about it. I just downloaded the NYT #1 Bestseller for free the other day, you just need to keep an eye out

Almost the same as this...I agree in terms of the library...also, with the technology Nook uses, it can be expanded all the time...we love our Nooks!

Re: POLL - Kindle or Nook

I have a Kindle...and I love it, until recently. a few of the series that I am reading have had recent releases and apparently Amazon is having some sort of dispute with the publishers and the books are not available on Kindle....but they are available for Nook.

(I didn't vote, because I prefer the Kindle device, just frustrated with Amazon)
