domestic adoption agency recommendation
we've finally decided to pursue domestic adoption rather than international
could someone please help us with information, first of all, the names of the agencies you used for domestic adoption in new york state, how was your experience with them?
how long the process took, other info etc.
your help is much appreciated!

My agency also does domestic, whfc.org
but I only have international experience.
From everything I know, the domestic adoption process can take months or years..it is all in the hands of the birth mother. There is no "waiting list" like in international adoption. I have heard of people having seamless experiences and have heard the more difficult stories. I think you have to be prepared for a open adoption as well as that is more the norm nowadays.
