disrespectful friend

DH has the most RUDE/OBNOXIOUS friend EVER....I mean EVER. He totally does not curb his mouth in any situaution. He is one of those people that get boxed into "well thats just "Dave". People know his mouth is absurd. Anyhow, this weekend was the straw that broke the camels back...I am SOOOOOOOOOO done. Me and dh and dd went to his kids bday party. he decided in front of everyone, friends, family, strangers EVERYONE to make fun of dh's recent diagnosed medical situation. Anyhow, people laughed, people pretended not to hear, people were like "dave". My dh did nothing out of embaressment. I picked up dd and left. In terms of parenting my question is this....
Did you ever remove your child from someone that you thought was toxic in your life regardless of what your spouse thought? I feel like this person has a terrible disposition. I am totally appalled by what happened and really do not want to subject her to this anymore. Especially knowing the kids are going to keep getting older and understand more. My dh's position is that we dont see them often anyhow (Thank god) and it wont be til next yr. To me he is throwing the problem under the rug. I can go along with the "Next yr" idea and then when it comes just not go. I will be damned if he comes to dd's bday anymore. His standout behavior is over the top. What to do......

DH's cousin!!! He is an obnoxious drunk and becomes rude and inappropriate in front of the kids. For years I would always bring my own car when going to there house, so i could leave at the 1st sign of chaos. DH eventually saw the light and now only sees him without us.

They are beyond cruel, disrespectful, hateful, spiteful, racist... pick a bad term and its them.

DH and I decided together to cut them out of our lives.
