Names Again

So now that your children are older and their personalities have really come out more - are they becoming what you associated with that name?

For example, my niece is Gabrielle Isabella - which to me is a very soft, feminine name. I picture someone who wears dresses and carries little purses. My niece is like a wild colt - she's long legged, tomboyish, pierced in belly, eyebrow and nose. She's smart as a whip and quick to correct. There isn't anything remotely demure about her.

As to my boys - I always thought of Robbie being a name for a carefree, super boys boy - snips and snails and puppy dog tails, kind of unfocused and full of mischief. He's actually very structured, nerdish and serious. Noah was someone I pictured to be charming and studious. He's actually very charismatic.. but not even a LITTLE studious. He's artistic and emotional!

What about your kids? Do they fit the idea you had about the names you gave them?

I think you just described my 11 year old Rob lol....he is very into reading his grades etc...I also have a nikolas who if Is the carefree , funny, outgoing ,athletic "boys boys" when they were born and even into the first two years with both of them I thought it would be totally the opposite

My DD's are much younger, but they are showing their personalities for sure.

Amelia to me was very feminie and girly. My girl is just the opposite. She does love her pretty dresses and all things princess, but loves to run around with the boys.

Kate to me was just a sweet name. My little girl already looks like she could kick some azz. And jsut yesterday at 2 months old she CRAWLED over her boppy pillow!!!

I have my hands full with these two.
